Early Life

Born in India in 1967 to a chemical engineer father and homemaker mother, Revathi Advaithi grew up one of five sisters in families that moved across Bihar, Gujarat, and Assam before settling in Chennai.


Education

She earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani in 1990 and later received an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2005.


Early Career

Advaithi began her career as a shop-floor supervisor at Eaton Corporation in Shawnee, Oklahoma, then joined Honeywell International in 2002 where she held manufacturing and supply-chain roles for six years. She returned to Eaton in 2008, eventually becoming President and Chief Operating Officer of its Electrical business unit for EMEA.


Leadership at Flex

In February 2019, she was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Flex Ltd. (formerly Flextronics), a global electronics manufacturing services company. Under her leadership, Flex is shifting focus toward digital innovation, sustainable manufacturing, and resilient supply chains across 30+ countries.


Board & Influence

Advaithi serves on the Board of Uber Technologies, the MIT Presidential CEO Advisory Board, and is an active member of the World Economic Forum Advanced Manufacturing CEO Community and the CEO Alliance on Climate Leaders.


Awards & Recognition

She has been named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list consecutively from 2019 through 2023 and was featured on CNBC’s Changemakers list in 2024.
